  Angeles City is located in the province of Pampanga in the Philippines, approximately 50 miles northwest of Manila. Over the past two decades, the former, American military base, Clark Air Base, has been transformed into the Clark Freeport Zone---an urban development area with a modern aviation complex, telecommunications and other infrastructure suited for high-end IT-driven industries, tourism and other sectors. Aside from the the Clark Freeport Zone, Angeles City has a nightlife alive with numerous bars.
  
  

Carousel Bar

• Located in the heart of the city, Carousel Bar opened its doors to patrons in 2007. With a 1,930sq.-ft. rotating dance floor, Carousel Bar features 110 dancers and 40 waitresses. Visitors can sit and watch the entertainment or buy one of the waitresses a drink and enjoy some personal attention. Because brown outs are often a problem in this region, the bar has its own generator in case of power failure. The bar is open from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. nightly.

Oasis Pub

• The Oasis Pub is located within the Oasis Hotel. For those looking to unwind with a drink and some local live music, but not in the gentleman's club-type bars most often found in Angeles City, the Oasis Pub offers a fully stocked bar and a rotating selection of musicians daily. Monday is standard revival and lite jazz night. Tuesday, patrons can enjoy a selection of '70s and '80s retro music. Wednesday features lite jazz. Thursday offers a blend of acoustic, alternative and R&B selections. Friday and Saturday are R&B and pop music nights, while Sunday is alternative night. Patrons can also enjoy half-price local beers nightly, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

• Dencio's Bar & Grill offers casual dining and drinks in the Clark Freeport Zone, with a full selection of local and imported beers as well as other alcoholic beverages. If patrons get hungry while relaxing in the bar, they can sample some traditional Filipino cuisine, including krispy pata (deep-fried pork leg), sisig (minced meat served on a sizzling hot platter, with liver, chili, onion and other seasonings) and sari-saring sinugba (a platter of grilled meats, typically chicken and pork).

Kokonutz

• Kokonutz is located at Mo's Place, in Angeles City. Because of the attached restaurant and hotel, Kokonutz is open from noon to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 24-hours Friday and Saturday. A swimming pool and swim-up bar can be found in the same complex. Kokonutz is the only open air, Pattaya Style beer bar in Angeles City. Patrons can watch their favorite sports on any of the bar's seven televisions, play a game of pool or take advantage of the bar's wireless Internet. Kokonutz is also a member of the Sons of Bacchus, a collection of 10 Angeles City bars that offer special discounts on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
