Are We Dealing With a Lack of Entrepreneur Confidence in the US?

The other day I was talking to a business owner and asked him how things were going.
He said he wasn't batting 1000 as he had in past periods, but he was making his business work nevertheless.
He said it wasn't fun anymore to run his business, and he was looking forward to retirement because he was tired of all the stress, bureaucracy, paperwork, lawsuits, and persnickety consumers.
He was upset about the lackadaisical attitude of the employees who think he owes them more when they aren't giving their hundred percent while they're working.
In essence, it seems he had a lack of entrepreneurial confidence in the economy, the bureaucracy, and in the future moving forward.
He was quite concerned because he did not vote for Barack Obama, and he was mortified when the American people chose him for reelection.
He felt; "if this is what the people want," then he wasn't interested in providing superior goods and services to them at low and fair prices.
Further, several of his employees voted for Barack Obama, and he'd surely like to let them go as soon as possible and stop paying for their lifestyle through biweekly paychecks.
CNBC had an interesting video on the business news titled; "US Losing Entrepreneurial Edge?" which interviewed Tom McGee of Deloitte National, provides perspective on November 16, 2012.
The interview noted that previously 90% of US entrepreneurs surveyed said that the US was the best place in the world to start a business, but recently after Obama was reelected that number is now only 63% which is a 33% drop.
This shows a decreasing amount of entrepreneur and business owner confidence which doesn't bode well for the prospects of growth and increased employment in our great nation.
Now then, I can hardly blame any entrepreneur in this country for having a lack of self-confidence in our economy.
Quite frankly, I don't have any confidence anymore in our government, leadership, the future tax code, or the increased rules and regulations I expect to continue.
It's been just about the biggest nightmare I've ever seen in my life.
On one hand we claim we want entrepreneurship and innovation, and then on the other hand we stymie it at every possible turn.
Worse, people are actually voting for this, but what they are doing is they are voting every entrepreneur out of business, and every citizen out of a job.
Be careful what you wish for people.
Things aren't looking so good under this administration.
Indeed, I thought America learned its lesson in the last four years, but apparently they are glutton for punishment, and wish to move the United States into the disaster we are witnessing now in the European economy.
Please consider all this and think on it.
