Curcumin and Healing Alzheimer’S

Curcumin can do some amazing things and healing Alzheimer's is one of them. One of curcumin's chief health roles has to do with fighting inflammation. Inflammation is someone's body trying to heal itself and can be a good thing however there is an evil side to it. Sometimes our immune system can get out of control and damage healthy tissue and a great example of this would be asthma.

Many experts in the health field speculate that inflammation plays a primary role in cancer as well as other disease and overall health. With its anti-inflammatory uses back in time it was primarily used as a cure for things such as swelling, cuts, bruises and insect bites. It also has anti-bacterial properties that clean wounds as well.

Another very common use of this plant and remember cucumin comes from a plant called turmeric is that it can be used to clean out someone's system. A thousand years ago Pepto-Bismol didn't exist so if someone had an upset stomach due to eating some wild berries or uncooked meat; village healers might prescribe one or two doses of curcumin. Another thing that makes this herb awesome is that it can make cancer cells commit suicide.

Of course it can also help someone with Alzheimer's. Some experts predict that Alzheimer's occurs because fatty plaque deposits in the brain interfere with the communication of cells and neurons and nerves die. Think of it like your whole body is made up of telephone lines and when a line is cut in can interfere with the entire grid. The biggest risk factor for getting Alzheimer's is age. If someone is over the age of 65 the chance that they could get this disease nearly doubles every five years. Other things that can contribute to the chance someone will get Alzheimer's could be a lethargic lifestyle and not thinking, smoking, poor diet, not consuming enough vitamins, high blood sugar and high cholesterol.

Curcumin may prevent and reverse Alzheimer's with its ability to break up beta-amyloid proteins and plaques that damage nerves in the brain. Another theory on what causes this disease is toxins and free radicals. Since this nutrient is an antioxidant that can stop these two deadly sources it explains how it can help out with Alzheimer's. Clinical studies are still under way to validate the claim that this substance can reverse this disease but so far things look promising. Also this nutrient has already proven itself with its ability to increase memory and thinking ability in a person.

Besides sprinkling some curry powder on food another very easy way someone can get the health benefits of this substance is by taking a supplement. Our group really studied the supplement industry and we created a free report that really tries to explain what people should look for when choosing their supplements as well as what not to look for. We also go over a brand that we really like that contains curcumin. To read this free report on supplements, click on www.increasemyhealth.net.
