How to Shred Pulled Pork
- 1). Cook your pork according to recipe directions until you can easily pull off chunks of meat with a fork. Remove from heat and allow to rest for half an hour covered with aluminum foil.
- 2). Place meat in a large shallow pan. Using tongs, pull the meat apart in chunks. Remove any large pieces of fat and discard. Be sure to leave some fat in, though, since it flavors the meat and keeps it moist.
- 3). Work over the large chunks of meat with two forks, pulling it apart into thin shreds.
- 4). Mix together the shredded meat and its cooking juices. Serve warm and enjoy.
