The Importance of Blog Writing For the Traditional Network Marketer
We are in the 21st and the internet has become the second most popular form of communication next to the phone.
Some of you who are "old skool" network marketers may not be familiar with what can be done on the internet but if you are not using the power of the internet to advance your business you are fighting a losing battle against the onslaught of web technology.
Start A Self-Hosted Blog The first thing to start off in a winning position is to start a blog.
But not any type of blog but a blog that is clean, professional and easy to maneuver around and most importantly provides value for your prospect .
What you want to do Is get aWordpress blog which you can host yourself.
Register Your Own Domain You want to get a domain that brands you.
For example, HervinBalfour DOT COM.
You want to place the emphasis on you as an expert Network Marketer and not your network marketing company or product.
Your company probably already has a website where they can find out anything that they want to know about your product or opportunity.
It's not necessary to create another site that regurgitates the same information.
Focus your blog on selling YOU as a Expert Marketer.
Article Writing Here is what I consider the most fun part of running my blog.
Article writing! Write at least three-five articles a week for your blog.
You don't have to write long drawn out essays for your blog.
Although these can be of value and interest to your prospects.
Instead write short brief "plugs" for your following.
In fact stretch your posts over two-three parts so your prospects will keep coming back for more.
Selecting A Proper Theme This is a very important step in the process.
Your theme has to be very professional and simple to scroll around and navigate with.
Always have a blog that has a sidebar positioned on the left side.
If you didn't know this fact, Google scans blogs content from the left to right.
Any blog post that you have on your site will be indexed by Googles search engines separately.
Each one of those post will get traffic separately.
You do not want to have your sidebar on the left side because what will happen is Google will keep re-reading the same content over and over again from left to right.
Duplicate content is not a good thing and equals bad news for your search engine ranking.
Outsourcing Your Articles If you are not good at writing articles then the next best thing to do is to outsource.
This will leverage your tasks allowing you to focus on other aspects of your business.
When I first started writing articles for my blog I outsourced my writing.
But I personally grew tired of doing it.
Sometimes they can't convey the message that you want to present to your audience.
I actually began to love writing my own personal articles because I enjoy seeing people grow and learn from my writing.
It is truly a joy to see individuals become successful when you educate and coach them from your heart.
With a blog you aren't just limited to writing articles.
You can use pictures, videos, podcasts and other media to get your point across.
The key to success is not to over analyze everything.
Just do it.
Some people will want everything to be "perfect" and will keep procrastinating.
Don't do it! Just get started and you will be okay.
