Hitting the slopes and getting in some great ski time is easy in northern California. A quick bus ride gets you straight into the Sierras and some of the best skiing in the region. While ski resorts in North Lake Tahoe offer easier ski slopes and less touristy towns, the southern slopes provide more intense descents and more entertainment options. - For residents of the San Francisco Bay Area, options for ski bus trips abound. The Bay Area Ski Bus schedules a variety of ski trips during the winter and average around three to four trips per week. The organization also arranges trips for all age groups, including families with children, teens and adults. They also offer a continental breakfast en route to Lake Tahoe and a dinner stop on the way back.

The club also has a race team that competes against other local and regional ski clubs. Members receive a discount on their lift tickets and access to the club cabin on race weekends.
