Things That Ruin Chances to Save Your Marriage - Listen to Your Partner and Avoid Them
The first few years are extremely happy, and then one partner becomes complacent, and almost begins to live a life of his/her own.
The other partner of course, is left feeling alone and very unloved - definitely not a recipe for a good marriage.
There are so many things that can ruin chances to save your marriage, and, the sad thing is, that most of them can be solved and ultimately save the marriage.
However, if it is only one partner who is really trying to save the marriage, and the other partner refuses to accept that there are problems that should be looked into, then the marriage is likely to fail.
It is the partner making a concerted effort to save the marriage, which usually loses out in the end.
He/she obviously loves his/her partner very much, and wants, above all, to enjoy a happy life together.
This partner will gladly see a marriage counsellor to try and get the marriage back on track, while the other partner is adamant that he/she is not doing anything to cause trouble in the marriage.
Then of course, if there are children involved, this is really one of the big things that ruin chances to save your marriage.
The children usually suffer the most in this type of marriage.
They can obviously sense that there is animosity between the parents, due to constant bickering.
This has an adverse effect on the children, and, of course, causes yet more problems for the partner who is desperately trying to keep the family together.
This usually results in this partner becoming extremely resentful towards the other partner.
Another of the things that ruin your chances to save your marriage is when there is lack of communication.
In most cases, the partner who is trying everything to save the marriage tries really hard to sit down and talk with his/her partner, in an effort to discuss the problems and hopefully solve them, whereas the other partner remains adamant that he/she is not the cause of the problem, and refuses to discuss the issue.
Slowly, over the years, the partner who is trying to stay positive will more than likely begin to fall out of love with her partner, and seriously begin to think that divorce is the only solution to his/her problems.
It is of course; very difficult to stay positive in this type of situation, when, whatever suggestion is made to try and sort out the problems is met with a negative reaction.
When a marriage reaches this stage, there is unfortunately really very little that can be done to save it.
There has to be co-operation from both partners.
Communication between partners is the key to avoid things that can ruin your chances to save your marriage.
