The Incredible Joe Pesci And His Best Movies
Joe Pesci is one of the most underrated actors of the past few decades.
Maybe that is because he has taken ample time off over the last ten years and has faded from the public spotlight.
Not that he was ever one to enjoy the Hollywood fame, but there are very few movies that he has been a part of in recent years.
It is a shame that Joe Pesci has not been in more movies recently, as he is such an incredible actor.
The following movies are some of my favorites that he has starred or been featured in.
The first movie that I will discuss is one of the few sequels that Joe Pesci has starred in, and that film is none other than Home Alone 2: Lost In New York.
While the original Home Alone is a true children's classic, I enjoyed the sequel even more.
Pesci was hilarious in both these movies.
I have to include Casino on this list.
I absolutely loved Scorsese's depiction of the Las Vegas underworld, and Pesci, Sharon Stone and Robert De Niro were all brilliant in this film.
While he may not have been the starring role, one movie that I certainly enjoyed featuring Joe Pesci was A Bronx Tale.
This film reunited the duo of Pesci and De Niro, and it would not be the last time they would star in a film together.
It's tough to make a list of Joe Pesci films without mentioning one of his best roles, which was the part of Leo Getz in the Lethal Weapon films.
Pesci provided ample humor to all three installments in which he was featured.
One of the best movies of the early 1980s was, without a doubt, Raging Bull.
This was not your Disney boxing film; this is a dark and gritty performance, by both Pesci and De Niro.
Robert De Niro was very much deserving of his Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
As of now, this is my list.
I have still not seen Once Upon a Time in America, which is supposed to be excellent as well.
That film just may make the cut.
