Are you a very stressed out person? Does your job or school wear you out? Are deadlines, bills, and meetings creating a stress trap in your head? If your answer to any of the previous questions was yes then perhaps it is time to consider a way of handling it, or at least to relieve all that stress.
Some people believe that a great way to relieve stress is by having a companion that never contradicts you.
Obviously we are not referring to your spouse.
Besides, if we were then that means that if you are single this entire article would be irrelevant.
Our solution is a pet.
Although many believe that a pet could actually cause more stress due to the work that the pet requires.
This, however, is not always the case.
Sometimes simply having someone that you can talk to without judging you is what you need.
Dog's have proven to be excellent candidates for this job.
Although they might not understand what you are saying it is often simply getting things off your chest (by venting) that you feel a lot better.
Still think that the work of keeping a pet outweighs having the benefits? Well if this is what you think then perhaps you should consider pet sitting a neighbors pet.
This way you can get the feel of what it is like to have a companion that requires a little maintenance without the strings attached.
If you feel that having someone to talk to everyday (without judgment) is good for you then perhaps you might want to move on to the next step of getting your own.
