How to Use the Webcam on an Asus K50LJ
- 1). Click "Start" on the Windows desktop taskbar. Click "All Programs" at the bottom of the Start menu.
- 2). Click the "Asus Utility" program folder.
- 3). Click "LifeFrame" to launch the program.
- 4). Click the "Video" button with the video camera icon in the selector wheel in the bottom left-hand corner of the program window. This shows the output of the webcam in the main pane of the program window.
- 5). Click the settings options buttons under the webcam output pane to adjust the format and resolution of the camera to your preferred options. You can adjust color, contrast, audio volume, video resolution, camera zoom level and video output file quality by clicking the relevant button. Clicking the button launches a slider control that you can move up or down to adjust each setting. For example, you might want to select a lower resolution for a video chat and a high resolution for a video that you intend to upload to a social networking site. You can also set a video record timer that will automatically record a video clip of a set duration.
- 6). Click the "Capture" button with the arrow icon to capture a video clip with the webcam. LifeFrame records a video clip and applies the settings you chose in the previous step. Click the "Stop" button with the red circle icon to stop the video capture. LifeFrame displays your video clip in the right-hand pane. You can upload the video clip to social network sites, your personal website or blog or email it to your friends.
