How to Freeze Rose Petals
- 1). Spread out the rose petals onto a plate. Place them on the countertop for three days, as drying the petals will help the freezer-preservation process. It is important that you do not let your petals come into contact with water or any moist materials while they are airing out on the counter.
- 2). Place your rose petals into a microwave oven for two minutes. The microwave helps eliminate excess moisture that will help the rose petals preserve better in the freezer.
- 3). Allow the rose petals to sit on the counter for 5 minutes to cool down.
- 4). Gently place the rose petals into an airtight container or sealable plastic bag.
- 5). Place the rose petals into the freezer. Rose petals will last in your freezer for as long as you wish to keep them there.
