Singing Time: SINGO
This great Singing Time game was submitted by Kasi Taylor and is perfect for older primary children. It's a lot like BINGO except you put one word in each square from the songs you've been learning during the year.
Preparation: Create the SINGO board by making a table with 5 columns and 5 rows. Write or type a word in each box, make sure to include a FREE space in the middle square, and copy/print as many as you will need.
You can use smarties or small squares of paper for the children to cover the words with.
Directions: As you sing the song you're working on the children can cover up the words they hear or sing. It is a good way for the kids to make sure they are paying attention to the words and a very good way to review any songs they need work on.
Children and teachers alike enjoy it. The great part is that the boards are reusable.
