How to Build Apartments on "The Sims 3 Late Night"
- 1). Click "Options" while in live mode. Select "Edit Town."
- 2). Save the game to go into "Town Editor" mode. Select an empty lot on the "Sims 3" neighborhood map.
- 3). Select "Change Lot Type," and click "Residential Community" from the list.
- 4). Select "Build on Lot" to enter the "Build and Buy" mode in which you can customize your property.
- 5). Select the cube-shaped icon in the wall section of the build screen. Drag and drop the cube to create a 4-walled room of any size. Hit the "Level Up" button on your dashboard to go up a story. Repeat with the cube placement directly on top of the first. Do this to create as many stories as you want for your apartment building. Seven stories is the maximum in "Sims 3" as of September 2011.
- 6). Use the 4-walled cube setting to create squared apartments within your building. Create as many apartments as you want for each floor.
- 7). Add an elevator at the floor level, and then a shaft at the topmost level. This connects your elevator. Add stairs as an optional backup.
- 8). Click "Save and Accept" to go back into live mode. This saves your bare apartment building. Your Sim can purchase the whole building to get into the real estate industry. This allows you to edit it freely in live mode. However, you can also continuously edit the apartment building via the "Edit Town" mode.
