    Connect PVR to PC

    • 1). Load the installation disc that came with the video capture card into the PC's CD drive. An installation wizard should automatically load. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the video capture card's drivers onto the PC. (This step only has to be done one time on this PC.)

    • 2). Plug the video capture card's USB plug into one of the PC's unused USB ports. Sometimes, the video capture card's USB cable comes attached to the device. Other times, the USB cable is separate from the device. If the latter applies to the type of video capture card you are using, plug the other end of the USB cable into the video capture card's USB port.

    • 3). Insert one end of the red AV cable into the red AV jack, labeled "Audio R," on the back of the PVR. Insert one end of the white AV cable into the PVR's white AV jack, labeled "Audio L." Insert one end of the PVR's yellow AV cable into the yellow AV jack, labeled "Video."

    • 4). Connect the other end of each AV cable into the corresponding AV input jacks on the video capture card.

    • 5). Turn on the PC and Bell PVR.

    Prepare the PC for Recording

    • 1). Open the "Start" menu. Type "windows live movie maker" into the "Search" box. Click "Windows Live Movie Maker" in the search results to open the program.

    • 2). Click the white arrow located on the far left side of the menu bar to open the Movie Maker menu. Select "Import from Device" to launch the program's Import wizard.

    • 3). Select the video capture card in the device list. Click "Import."

    • 4). Follow the remaining prompts to set up your video capture session. The Import wizard will walk you through the process. At the last prompt, you will see a preview window. Whatever is currently playing on the PVR is displayed in the preview window, as long as everything is set up properly.

    Record

    • 1). Aim the Bell remote control at the PVR. Press "PVR List."

    • 2). Use the arrow buttons on the remote control to highlight the video you want to transfer to the PC. Press "Select." Select "Start" to begin playback of the video.

    • 3). Click "Import" in Windows Live Movie Maker to start dubbing the video into the computer. Click "Stop" at the end of the video.

    • 4). Click "Finished."
