How to Make Your Own Home Movies with a Digital recorder
- 1). Visualize different concepts based on subjects that you may have some knowledge of, and which interest you. Note down each idea as it comes to mind. Then eliminate each idea, until you arrive at one that you can build your film’s storyline on.
- 2). Once you’ve finalized your concept, start writing the basic draft for the script. The script primarily consists of the dialogues by, or between, an actor or actors, and also conveys the central storyline and progressive visual scenarios. This may take some writing and rewriting but persevere until you are satisfied with the final script. Remember the script should match the duration of the movie you have in mind.
- 3). Gather cast and crew members, relevant to the concept and needs of your movie. Discuss your final script with them. Invite suggestions and ideas that may further refine your script.
- 4). Build a simple set, using props, backdrops and other items as relevant to the storyline of your movie. This will give your movie more visual appeal, realism and good mood and tonal value in every take.
