A safe environment has:
- Good ventilation.
- Sufficient lighting.
- Temperature control (heater or air conditioning if necessary).
- Chairs and desks that promote good sitting posture.
- Emergency equipment such as fire extinguisher, telephone and a first-aid kit.
- Operating power equipment like forklifts and meat slicers.
- Working at a dangerous height or depth like on roofs or scaffolding.
- Working directly with electrical power.
- Travelling in unknown or high-risk neighbourhoods, especially late at night.
- Working alone in a cash-based operation like in a convenience store and gas stations.
- Accepting "under the table" wages.
This would mean that the pay you get is not reported to the federal and state governments and therefore it's illegal.

Next, you have to explain why you would like to work there and ask what their hiring procedure is like. - Network- There's an old saying which is often true: It's not what you know, it's who you know.

So, sit down and think long and hard (make a list) of all the people who might know someone who could lead you to your ideal job. - Responds to ads- Whatever you're doing each day, remember that you are on a mission which is looking for an employer.
