How to Connect a Vostro 1710 to a Big Screen
- 1). Line up the metal pins on one end of the VGA cable with the three rows of holes in the video socket on the back edge of the Vostro 1710. Push the plug into the socket.
- 2). Connect the other end of the VGA cable to the matching socket on the adapter.
- 3). Plug in one end of an S-video cable into the socket on the other side of the adapter.
- 4). Connect the free end of the S-video cable to the matching input on the back of your big screen TV.
- 5). Plug in the supplied DC power cord to the adapter and connect to an electrical outlet.
- 6). Press the Vostro's "Fn" and "F8" keys at the same time to switch the video from the laptop screen to the connected big screen.
