Kid's Room Decor
- The accessories that exist as candles and photos in other rooms can be substituted as the child's favorite toys, action figures or trophies in his room. Place them on top of shelves, televisions, dressers, and stands.
- The walls in a kid's room should always be colorful, whether painted with a child's favorite color or filled with pictures and posters of her favorite characters.
- Wood is popular as a furniture choice in kids' rooms. They mix and match easily with many colors. As an extra bonus, make your kid's furniture into fun shapes, like cars or planes.
- Fill the walls or windows of kid's room with borders picturing his favorite cartoons or singers. They provide colorful shapes and smiling faces.
- Perhaps no piece is more important in a kid's room than her bed, and using cartoon or character sheets for her to sleep under is a necessity for many rooms.
- One popular option is to have multiple sets of decorations, so the child does not get bored. Keep a couple of sets in a closet, and switch the colors and accessories every couple of months.
- Most importantly, perhaps, is to pull all of the decorations together into one common theme. If your kid's absolute favorite is Mickey Mouse, bring all of the aspects of the decorations back to that character somehow.
