How to Sync Ringtones on an iPhone
- 1). Right-click on the file you want to sync and launch it in Windows Explorer. If you have multiple copies of the file, erase the other ones.
- 2). Highlight the entire file name and extension of the file and label it however you want. Replace the former extension with the extension .M4R and confirm the warning that comes up to change the file into a ringtone.
- 3). Drag the new .M4R file into iTunes and navigate to the Ringtones header in the left-hand menu pane. You will be able to see the ringtone you want to sync in this menu.
- 4). Connect your iPhone to your computer and select the "Sync" button on the bottom of the iTunes window. If you have your iPhone set to manually organize, you will need to select the "Ringtones" tab and choose to sync them.
