Washable Sheepskin Rugs

• 1). Place the sheepskin rug in the washing machine.
  
  
• 2). Add the manufacturer's recommended amount of sheepskin shampoo to the washing machine.
  
  
• 3). Set the washing machine to the delicate cycle and cold or lukewarm water and allow the cycle to complete. Add the manufacturer's recommended amount of wool conditioner to the rinse cycle to soften the rug.
  
  
• 4). Remove the sheepskin rug from the washing machine and stretch it to its previous shape.
  
  
• 5). Hang the rug in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or heat to air-dry it.
  
  

Non-Washable Sheepskin Rugs

• 1). Shake the rug outside to remove loose dirt and debris, or vacuum it with a brush attachment.
  
  
• 2). Spray the sheepskin rug with a light layer of sheepskin protector and allow it to air-dry.
  
  
• 3). Brush the sheepskin rug with a wire wool brush occasionally to keep the fibers soft and remove excess dirt.
