A Habit That Will Support You in Making Money on the Internet
Get and stay organized.
don't be a hoarder! The number one question you want to ask when you decide on an action: "how is this going to make money for me?" Now, pay attention: the question isn't whether it can make money for you, it is HOW and will it? When you ask that question then the world does show up a little differently.
Once you have an answer, let's say you wanted to download a bunch of ebooks.
You ask: how is this going to make money for me? You answer: I will put them on my blog...
Question #2: When? If you can't answer that with any timeframe within 7 days, then cancel the action.
- Download ebook? you won't use it within 7 days to make money for you...
cancel the action. - Buy software? you won't use it within 7 days to make money for you...
cancel the action.
- I am in the middle of a project now...
valid. - I simply won't have time within 7 days...
valid. - The money won't be sufficient to justify the action...
valid.
You will start to pay attention to what you are doing, instead of all the stuff that is shiny and vying for your attention.
I have many people sign up to my lists, and about 35% don't even download the gift they originally wanted.
I have quite a few people sign up to my courses and they don't even show up, or just enough to get their feet wet...
and then disappear.
Did they disappear because they didn't like what they bought? Or did they disappear because
- they didn't have time and capacity to actually use the content within 7 days
- some other shiny object knocked my shiny object out of view, and they are onto the next thing.
But if you said no, and I hope you did, then please start using the 2-3 question process above, and you'll increase your effectiveness in life by 40-50-60%.
And you'll be well on your way to making money on the Internet.
