Steve Korch Is Follower Of Jesus And Spiritual Leader
He was born in 1950, and grew up in a typical middle-class family. After his first semester in college, Steve Korch joined the Army and flew as a co-pilot in Viet Nam for a year. He then decided to complete his education and earned a B.A. in history from Biola University and M.Div. in pastoral studies from Western Seminary. Upon graduation from seminary, he served as the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Lincoln City, Oregon for a long period of nine years. He saw the church grow from the smallest in town to one of the largest in the county. He also served as an ER chaplain for the local hospital in Lincoln City. From 1990 to 1999, Steve Korch held the position of Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in San Mateo. He has played a significant role in the life of many people, helping them to discover a new life in Jesus.
Steve Korch now resides in Santa Cruz. He teaches seminary courses such as "Practicing Prayer and Other Spiritual Disciplines" and "Learning to Love God and Others." As both a professor and a speaker, Steve addresses themes of brokenness and redemption and moves people toward authentic spiritual formation.
