• The Isuzu Ascender is a sports utility vehicle (SUV) that was introduced in 2003 when it replaced the Isuzu Trooper and discontinued in 2008 when Isuzu withdrew it from the North American markets. The car shares its specifications with the GMC Envoy. In addition to the 4.2-liter base model, a 5.3-liter version was also produced.

Chassis, Transmission and Safety

• The 2007 Ascender chassis has a turning circle of 39.4 feet and is fitted with rack-and-pinion steering and 245/65R17 tires throughout. Independent suspension is fitted in the front and live-axle suspension is fitted in the rear. Both rear- and four-wheel drive automatic transmissions are available. Driver and passenger airbags, ABS brakes, power door locks and a vehicle anti-theft system all come as standard.
