The Bottom Line
An adequate cleanser for the price. You'll probably like it if you're looking for a non-foaming cleanser with a bit of scrubbiness to it. But if you prefer a creamy consistency, you'll be disappointed.

Guide Review - Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser
Truthfully, the pretty green tube on the store shelf is what really caught my eye. The scent is what convinced me to give it a try. It reminds me of watermelon candy I used to eat as a kid. I happened to have a teen and a tween with me, and they both gave the scent an enthusiastic thumbs up too.
The first time I tried it, I wet my face and then emulsified the cleanser between my hands. There was an immediate warming explosion on my fingertips, but it was gone before the cleanser got to my face. So I decided it was a good time to read the instructions.
On the package it says to wet your face first, completely dry your hands, squeeze cleanser onto your dry palm, and then apply it to your already dampened face. Take-two the next day worked, but it seemed a bit too tedious for my taste.
The third night, I just squeezed a dab onto my (still damp) fingertips and massaged it onto my face. As long as you don't emulsify the cleanser in damp hands, it works that way without all the fuss.
I liked the exfoliating beads, and the way the cleanser rinses clean. It also leaves skin soft and smooth. It was just a bit drying, but not bad for a 2% salicylic acid cleanser and nothing a little moisturizer didn't fix.
The warming sensation left me a little disappointed. It doesn't stay warm for more than about three to five seconds. It quickly warms up and fizzles out even faster.
The main beef I have with this product, though, is its consistency. It's rather thick and gummy, and doesn't really feel like a cleanser at all. It also didn't spread well, probably due to its stickiness, so I had to use more product than I expected. It did leave my skin feeling clean, though.
This is basically an OK cleanser, but nothing really spectacular.
