Top Christian & Gospel Ringtones - July 2013

106 14
One of the best parts of owning a Cell phone is that you can customize just about every aspect of what you have. You can even choose what you hear when someone calls you (ringtones) and what your callers hear while your phone rings (ringback tones).

As a mom of two teens, I am constantly hearing about the need for the latest and most popular ringtone. Our carrier, Verizon, offers thousands of each (as do the other carriers) and there are even places to get free ringtones or to make your own.

All of this made me wonder ... which Christian and Gospel ringtones are the most popular? According to Verizon, these are the top Christian ringtones for July 2013.

1. "A Little More Jesus" - Erica Campbell

Erica Campbell is best known as one half of the popular Urban Gospel group, Mary Mary. Her first solo project is in the works and the first single has already gone to radio, making a huge impact - so huge that the ringtone is the most popular in the Verizon Gospel catalog.

2. "No More No Less" - MercyMe

MercyMe has released three studio albums since Coming Up to Breathe - all filled with great songs - yet fans are still resonating enough with "No More No Less" that they are downloading the ringtone like crazy.

3. "The Change Inside Of Me" - MercyMe

Speaking of oldies but goodies, fans are going all the way back to 2002 for the #3 ringtone. From the Gold certified Spoken For, "The Change Inside Of Me" is all about how Jesus is the one who changes us from the inside.

4. "Let It Rise" - Big Daddy Weave

Surprisingly, the #4 ringtone is an older tune by Big Daddy Weave rather than the more recent and multi award-winning "Redeemed." "Let It Rise" comes to us from the 2006 release, Every Time I Breathe.

5. "Break Every Chain" - Tasha Cobbs

Back to 2013 releases, "Break Every Chain" is currently sitting at #2 on the current Top Christian Songs Chart. This powerful song by newcomer Tasha Cobbs is a favorite no matter what form you find it in.

6. "Shackles (Praise You)" - Mandisa

We seem to be partial to hits from the past again this month. Perhaps it's because things were seen as being "better" a few years ago. Coming from the 2007 release, True Beauty, this song is still amazing and it is a timely reminder to praise Him through all of our circumstances.

7. "Praise Him In Advance" - Marvin Sapp

Coming from 2007's Thirsty, "Praise Him In Advance" is a song we should all remember the point of.

8. "Shackles (Praise You)" - Mary Mary

With the same song appearing at #6 (just by a different artist), one has to wonder just how chained down the American public feels this summer.

9. "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)" - Chris Tomlin

A contemporary yet classic song, "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)" has been out since 2006 and if anything, it gets more popular every with every passing year.

10. "God In Me" - Mary Mary f/ Kierra "Kiki" Sheard

Giving all credit to God and His glory, "God In Me" reminds us that it's not our own efforts to do that make us successful, it's God working through us.
