How to Share Wireless Internet Through an Ethernet Cable
- 1). Plug one of the computers into the Ethernet cable connected to the modem.
- 2). Open the "Start" menu and type "Network and Sharing Center" in the search box.
- 3). Click on the "Network and Sharing Center" link in the results section.
- 4). Click "Manage Network Connections."
- 5). Right-click on the icon for the Ethernet adapter and click "Properties."
- 6). Click on the "Sharing" tab and verify that the "Allow other network users to connect..." check box is not marked and press "OK."
- 7). Hold down "CTRL" and click on the Ethernet cable adapter and the wireless adapter icons in the "Network Connections" window.
- 8). Right-click, select "Bridge Connections" and confirm the selection.

Select "Set up a wireless ad hoc..." from the list and press "Next." - 12
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup wizard. - 13
Log on to the other computer, select the ad hoc network from the list of available wireless networks and press "Connect." - 14
Open an Internet browser and test to see if the computer connects to the Internet properly.
