Three Reasons Why You Should Not Use Antibiotics For Your Acne Treatment

103 12
Oral antibiotics have been one of the widely used treatments for acne after over-the-counter treatments don't work well for ones acne problem.
Basically oral antibiotics do two things for your acne treatment.
It helps to reduce your acne inflammation and tries to annihilate bacteria in your body (This includes those bacteria that are beneficial to your body).
In the process of eliminating bacteria in your body, antibiotics also destroy P.
acnes
, which is the bacterium that causes acne.
But, is it the best treatment for acne? Or is it inferior as compared to over-the-counter treatments? Below I shall talk about three reasons why you should not use antibiotics treatment, and should never depend on it for long-term acne treatment.
The first important reason why you should not use antibiotics for your acne treatment is because they won't treat your acne at all.
Confused? Yes, it kills bacteria in your body that causes acne, but is it really possible to annihilate all these annoying bacteria that cause acne? Without a doubt, the answer is no.
Bacteria are ever present in our body and there is no way we can destroy all those bacteria that causes acne in our body.
Because it is impossible to eliminate all these bacteria in our body, antibiotics will not work for your acne treatment in a long run.
For short-term, maybe it can improve your acne condition, but for long-term, using it for acne treatment is foolish.
Treating acne is like treating flu.
There iss no way you can totally eliminate the entire flu virus.
The same goes for acne; there is no possibility for you to destroy all the bacteria.
And much like flu, the way to prevent bacteria from spreading is to prevent growing inhabitant for it.
Destroy homes of the billions and trillions of bacteria instead of trying to nail down each and every one of them.
Another reason why antibiotics will not work for long term is because when it is prescribed overtime; bacteria will build up resistance against it.
Thus, using oral antibiotics as a long-term acne treatment sounds illogical.
The third reason why you should not use antibiotics for your acne treatment is because when you take in antibiotics, you are actually trying to kill all bacteria in your body, good and bad.
As what you have learned from your fifth grade class, there are good bacteria in our body that actually helps out in your body's digestive system.
By killing the good bacteria, your digestive system will slow down.
If your digestive system slows down, toxins in your body will build up.
At one point when the toxin in your body is too much for your kidney to handle, it will dump the entire toxin to your skin.
Imagine that if toxin were to be dumped to your skin, acne eruption will definitely be inevitable.
