That is one way to show appreciation.
After all, you spend time to blog.
Time is the precious resource that you can't get more of even if you want to, so this approach makes sense.
Tip jar may not work in all niches.
Or, it may contribute to a small portion of your income.
But still, it is a great way to measure your audience, how they appreciate your content and how much they are willing to help or encourage you to create more.

Promote your own product or service If you have your own product or service, you can promote them on the blog.
Display the product on the sidebar.
Better still, use the blog to generate leads.
You can have the chance to follow up with them by asking them to sign up with your e-newsletter or RSS feed.
Later you educate them and build relationship further through the communication channel.
Once they are ready, they will buy your product or service.
3.
Sell advertising space If you have traffic, your blog is like virtual real estate.
You can lend them to others who can make use of the traffic.
The easiest way is to partner with big advertising networks such as Google.
Displaying AdSense code is easy.
You only put the code up, and you can earn money the next second if people decide to click it.
If it pays per view, you will earn money if people view your blog page.
Note that selling your own ad space gives you more profit, but you need to find advertisers rather than using Google's inventory.

Affiliate products Affiliate marketing is a lucrative way to make money.
First, you don't have to create the product.
Then you can promote it and earn money as if it is your own product.
Of course, you only get a share of the revenue, but you don't maintain the inventory or delivery either.
Finally, you are free from providing customer support too.
You can just put up the banner or mention the product within the content on the blog.
Other promotion methods include writing a review, showing demonstration of the product, and so on and so forth.
