How to Create a CD From a Digital Piano
- 1). Start with the volume on your keyboard all the way down. Before you plug any cables into you computer, your keyboard volume should be off or very low to prevent damaging your computer or speakers.
- 2). Plug the stereo 1/4-inch cable into your keyboard's headphone jack. The 1/4-inch side is the bigger of the two ends.
- 3). Locate your computer's microphone jack. Plug the 1/8-inch end of your cable into the microphone jack on your computer.
- 1). In Microsoft Vista, you can use the built-in "Sound Recorder" to record as much as your hard drive can hold. Click the start button and type "Sound Recorder" in the search bar. It should open the software.
- 2). Test your volume settings by pressing the record button and playing for a few seconds. When you press stop, you will be prompted to save your file.
- 3). Save the file to a folder where you can find it quickly. Listen to the sound file to make sure the sound levels are appropriate.
- 4). Once you have your levels at the right place, you can record each song individually and save them to your hard drive.
- 5). Right click on the songs and select "Send to" -> D: (replace the D: with the drive letter for your CD burner).
- 6). Insert a blank CD and navigate to your CD burner drive in My Computer. Burn the CD. When prompted, be sure to burn the CD as an audio CD.
