    • 1). Consider the potential impact of the injustice to help you decide what, if any, action needs to be taken. If the injustice is simply a minor irritant, such as an email telling you not to do something that you already weren't doing, let it go. However, if the injustice may impact your job, such as a major error that wasn't yours, you need to remedy the situation.

    • 2). Calm yourself before you make any decisions about your required actions. Tell yourself that everything will work out. When you approach a situation with a calm demeanor, you are more likely to succeed than if you would react in anger or frustration.

    • 3). Collect any facts you need to prove your case if you feel it is important to right the wrong. Being prepared can help ensures that you present a convincing case to your supervisor or boss.

    • 4). Speak directly to the person who has wronged you, especially if it is another coworker. In some cases, the coworker may be unaware of what is going on. If he is aware, knowing that it bothers you may be enough to correct the behavior. If not, approach your boss about the subject.

    • 5). Present your case using facts only. It is easy to allow your emotions to take over, so focus on the solid facts that you can prove.

    • 6). Bring the matter to the human resources department if you are unable to make any progress with your boss, or if the boss is the part of the problem, or the root of it. But make sure that the injustice is worth correcting before you take this action to avoid creating a hostile or uncomfortable work environment for yourself and your coworkers.
