How to Remove Rust Stains From Terylene Sails
- 1). Fill a bathtub with warm tap water.
- 2). Add 1 oz. of oxalic acid for every pint of water in the tub.
- 3). Place the Terylene sails into the solution, being careful to avoid contact of the solution with the eyes or mouth. Be sure that the sails are loosely folded and completely submerged.
- 4). Allow the sails to remain submerged in the solution for 24 to 48 hours until the rust stains are removed.
- 5). Carefully remove the sails from the solution and place them outdoors to air-dry completely.
- 6). Rinse the sails thoroughly with the garden hose and allow them to air-dry completely before using.
