How to Install Single Ended Dreads
- 1). Divide your hair into rows, beginning at the nape of your neck. Section the hair from ear to ear and clip the remainder of your hair on the top of your head.
- 2). Divide the row into one centimeter by one centimeter squares and secure them with your small hair bands. These squares will be used to attach the dreads. Leave one square loose and use the hair clip to move the rest of the hair sections out of the way.
- 3). Thread one of the single ended dreads onto your latch hook. Pull the loose section of hair through the dread, remove the hook and set it aside.
- 4). Separate the strands of natural hair you just attached to the dread from the dread, then split the natural hair into two sections.
- 5). Grasp the hair tightly and braid the two sections of natural hair with the single dread. Secure the end of the braid with a hair band.
- 6). Release the next one centimeter by one centimeter section of hair, repeat attaching dreads with the latch hook and braiding them. Fit six to eight dreads in each row of hair.
- 7). Release the next row of hair, divide it into one centimeter by one centimeter squares, repeat attaching the dreads and braiding the natural hair with dreads until your entire head is covered with the single ended dreads.
