    • Rancho was established in the 1950s as Rancho Jeep Supply, producing shocks and suspensions for vehicles. In 1990, the company was acquired by Tenneco Inc., and the product line expanded into specialized heavy duty shocks intended for off-road vehicles. Aside from producing shock absorbers, Rancho also developed its own suspension systems and other accessories for off-road vehicles. Today, Rancho produces shock absorbers that come in a range of models to fit any type of pickup truck and SUV.

    RS5000

    • The Rancho RS5000 was first released in 1985, catering to vehicles under the light truck and sport utility vehicle category. Today the RS5000 is available for stock and lifted applications. The latest model features a 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving, providing better stability and control, especially off-road. It has a 16-mm diameter piston rod and a 35-mm diameter piston. It also comes standard with a protective boot, and is included in Rancho's limited lifetime warranty. Installing the RS5000 in your vehicle can have a lot of benefits that include strength and durability, reliable performance in any environment, and specific tuning options. As of 2010, an RS5000 shock costs around $48 each.

    RS9000XL

    • The RS9000XL boasts of its nine-position tuning technology that provides up to 400 percent of change in vehicle control and response. The first five tuning presets offer a flexible on and off-road riding, while the last four tunings are designed for towing and performance. Its body diameter is 70 mm, and it has an 18-mm chrome rod. It also comes standard with a liquid metallic finish, polyurethane bushings and a protective boot. The RS9000XL is also charged with nitrogen gas and has a premium finish. An optional accessory available for the RS9000XL is the myRIDE wireless controller that provides remote tuning for the RS9000XL. As of 2010, an RS9000XL costs around $85.

    Pro Series Coil Over

    • The Pro Series is an upgraded RS9000XL. It comes standard with the nine-position tuning technology, and it includes dual coil springs. The package includes a slider and spring retainers, together with a nitrogen gas charged remote reservoir. It also comes standard with a metallic finish. As of 2010, a Pro Series Coil Over costs around $360.
