Getting out of Debt by Ceasing Excessive Credit Card Usage Are you in the process of getting out of debt and you are still leaning on the credit cards for anything? You should cut those cards up especially the ones that are causing you so many sleepless nights! Go ahead and pull out the Fiskars (scissors) and commence to chopping! You will find a certain reassurance that you may not have thought possible as you chop and slice those little slivers of plastic that have been the source of initial joy and resource but recently have been the reasons for your despair.
Cutting a Path to Freedom Financially It is time to place those cards away for good and do not be tempted to reuse them until you have a good firm grip on the personal financial empire that is so readily apparently important to you and you alone.
Did the card companies offer you any solace when you were going through the pains of withdrawal? Withdrawing from using credit cards is a very real physical and mental issue with many individuals as they start the recovery into financial freedom.
Of course hopefully minus the physical maladies that is normally associated with a recovery plan for say an addicted person.
Credit Card Addiction is Real Make no doubt about it you are addicted to the use of credit cards if you cannot see and see right away that they are causing you a great deal of pain when you continually use them even after the first three have been maxed out! That's a real issue and you can start the cycle of release by first making certain that you do not have ready access to those cards any longer.
Destroying the cards may seem at first to be a rather extreme action but think about it rationally, you can always call up the credit card company at a later date and have them reissue you a card and have access to it in as little as three days.
But that is not recommended at all, not for you at least.
Stay Away from Plastic Unless in the Grocery Checkout Aisle If you happen to be one of the lucky ones that has not gone over the edge in the use of your credit cards and still have some room on each and every card then you can follow this recommendation.
Limiting the use of the existing credit cards is a great method to slow down and see exactly what your spending habits are as you are forced to use only cash and labor for the bills.
Try it for a few weeks and then you will see what issues you have with the credit cards and the using of those little slivers of plastic for everything.
