- 1). Press the "Power" button on the device to turn it off.
- 2). Press the "Power" button again to turn it on.
- 3). Press and hold the "Fast Forward" and "Rewind" buttons on the remote control at the same time for at least five seconds. The device will be reset to your factory settings and you will need to reset your parental passcode.
- 1). Check to ensure you placed the disc in the device with the label side facing up.
- 2). Eject the disc and wipe it down thoroughly using a clean silk cloth.
- 3). Locate the region number on the DVD. The DVD may not be authorized to play in the country where your Samsung DVD/VCR player was purchased.

- 2). Check other electronic devices in your living area to see if the power went out. If there was a power failure, the timed recording will be canceled.
- 3). Check to ensure the VCR tape you didn't fail to rewind the VCR tape you put in the DVD/VCR player to record to. If there was no tape left to record to, the recording would have started and then stopped immediately.
