Being a renowned maternity photographer in Miami, I had done several photo sessions in studio. I cant argue over that. If youre going to have photographs in less than a fully clothed state then certainly, studio shoots are great because of privacy concerns. But theres something really nice about being outside. Natural beauty of a woman whos going to bring new life and placing her in the majesty of the great outdoors is just breathtaking.
Creative freedom at home!
When you shoot a mommy-to-be in her own place, shes comfortable to let pass away in a manner that she may not be otherwise. That creative freedom makes me to hold maternity sessions at home. Its the responsibility of a photographer to youre your subjects feel comfortable and capable of giving their best.
Highlight that purest form of love in your photographs!
Hopefully new babies are coming into a loving home; therefore I always try to include some clicks of maternity photography that highlight relationship between the couple. After all, bringing a child into the world with someone is love in its purest form.
Help mommy-to-be feel beautiful!
Women dont generally feel very sexy when theyre pregnant. Well, because an expectant mother doesnt feel sexy, that doesnt mean that your photographs will not have a beautiful woman. Bring that out in her and pull that beauty. A good way to do this is by talking as you shoot.
Dont Forget the Siblings!
Remember that often a baby is coming into an established family unit. I mean to say that this is not her first pregnancy. If the siblings are available include them in at least a few frames.
