How to Remove Stains on Vinyl Upholstery
- 1). Dilute two small drops of dish washing detergent and 1 tbsp. of baking soda in lukewarm water. Wet a rag with the mixture and rub it into the stain until it disappears.
- 2). Blot the stain with a paper towel or cloth rag. Pour a moderate amount of vinyl cleaner directly onto the stain as directed on the product label and allow it to seep in. Rub the cleaner in with a rag to help break up the stain. Wet a cloth rag with lukewarm water, wipe the area clean and allow it to air dry.
- 3). Spray a moderate amount of hairspray directly onto the stain. Leave the hair spray on the stain for one to three minutes but don't allow it to dry. Rub the affected area with a paper towel to wipe the stain off; dampen a paper towel with water and a few drops of clear dishwashing detergent if the stain is particularly hard to remove. Wet a cloth rag with lukewarm water and wipe the area clean.
