Tribeca Film Festival 2008 Horror Movie Lineup
Started in 2001 following the attacks on the World Trade Center to spur revitalization of lower Manhattan, the Tribeca Film Festival focuses on promoting New York City as a major filmmaking hub. The festival is divided into "sections," with the Midnight Section featuring the bulk of the horror films, although genre selections readily find their way in the other sections. Each year, over 200 films are chosen from around the world, most of which are a North American, international or even world premiere.
