Customize Your Blog To Fit You

I have always loved having my own WordPress blog.
When I first started to look at the Internet as a way to make money I saw that I may have a problem because I did not have a lot of money to pay a webmaster to build me a website.
But thanks to the WordPress blogging system I found an inexpensive way to have a presence on the Internet.
When I first began building my own WordPress blog I was naïve to the fact that it had so many customizable parts to where I could customize my blog to fit my needs.
One of the first things that I did was; I went to my WordPress admin area and went to the area of post, and comments.
There you will find the default comments and a post, there you will simply delete the posted comments and post.
Now I wanted to make whatever I posted on my blog SEO friendly, so I had to change my permalinks.
To do this you will need to go into the settings area of your word press admin then you will see permalinks, you will then be given a set of permalinks settings to choose from being you will choose /%category%/%postname%/.
By choosing this setting when you write a blog post the URL for that post will first show your blog name, then the category, and then the post name.
One way to customize your WordPress blog is to find, add, and activate the numerous plug-ins available to you for your WordPress blog.
There are so many plug-ins that can do so many things for you so since an article such as this does not allow me to space to mention them all, I would suggest that you do a Google search for WordPress plug-ins.
Another way to customize your own WordPress blog is by the pages that you put up.
Most people have an about page, a contact page, a privacy page, a terms of service page, and/or a disclaimer page.
I would highly suggest that you do so as well, however; let's say you have a blog about gardening; you may want to put up a winter's page, a summer's page, a page about flower gardening, or a page about vegetable gardening.
So, this is by no means an exhaustive list on how you can customize your WordPress blog, but, it gives you a good picture on how customizable a WordPress blog can be.
