How to Clean Marks on Stoneware

    • 1). Combine two parts baking soda to one part water in a bowl; mix with a spoon until you get a paste. Adjust the levels of the baking soda to water until the mixture is more wet than dry but more runny than toothpaste. The exact quantities of water to baking soda will depend on how many marks you need to remove from stoneware and the humidity in your home; less humid areas will need more water in their mixture.

    • 2). Dampen a sponge and gently rub the mixture into the stoneware in a circular pattern.

    • 3). Let the mixture stand for a few minutes.

    • 4). Rinse the stoneware off to see if the marks remain. Repeat the application of the mixture if necessary.

    • 5). Wash the stoneware as normal.
