How to Market Your Network Marketing Business
Most people start building their network marketing business the same way.
Their sponsor tells them all the "old school" methods because that is what they were told.
Little do they realize those methods more closely resemble door-to-door sales or telemarketing than proper and effective marketing.
They also don't know it but none of the top earners of today use those methods.
There are some people who are very successful with those "old school" methods and they get up there and tell everyone they use them but what they do not tell you is they have been in network marketing a long time and they have built up a network already of people who know, like, and trust them.
Using those "old school" methods causes you to try to sign up people that you know the best to start with and one major problem with that besides the fact that they did not go looking for your product,service or opportunity is they know you are just starting out and cannot prove that it will be successful.
They may like you but how do they know you are any good with running an MLM business? What are you going to do for leads when you have exhausted your friends and family? Your list will run out and probably faster than you think when you start thinking about the rejections your efforts are causing you to face.
Where will you turn for prospects then? The mall? The street corner? The Internet? If you turn to the mall or the street corner you are now no better than a street corner watch salesman.
Do you really think the top earners in MLM or network marketing use that for sales? If you turn to the Internet you will probably find a couple of options that most people use.
They either buy a list of leads to call off a site that sells them or they go to a social site and start telling every connection they make what a great opportunity they have.
Those lists you can buy can get expensive though.
How many times do you think those same names have been sold? If you were selling a list of names online, would you only sell them once or would you tell buyers that the names have been sold 4 or 5 times? On the social sites, do you think those people who are doing the same thing with their business links are going to drop their company and sign up with yours the first time they see your link? Do you really think the top earners are using these methods for their success? If you haven't tried it yet, just go to Facebook or MySpace and do the same things that the millions there are already doing and see how it works.
There is only one way to build a home based business or network marketing business if you want to succeed.
It is the same way that a traditional business is built.
You must first learn how to operate the business.
If you decided one day to become a doctor, how many people would let you operate on their brain the next day? No one! I am not saying network marketing is as hard as brain surgery because it isn't, but if you want to succeed in any business you at least need some training.
You wouldn't open a restaurant without knowing how to cook or at least hiring a cook would you? Well how in the world would anyone be able to build a successful Multi-level-MARKETING business, Network MARKETING business, Direct SALES business or any other online MARKETING business without learning some proper marketing techniques? When someone knows how to do something it is easy.
I once ran a residential framing company and when I opened my business the framing part was easy because I already knew everything about framing.
