These reasons may be to look and feel great in clothes or on the beach, for an upcoming wedding or an important event.
Another important reason is for your health.
The risk of health problems associated with excess weight can be fatal.
It is time to lose those extra pounds, reclaim your health and your life.
You can do it just like many others have done.
There are, two main areas to focus on to lose the extra pounds around your mid section.
If you follow a sensible program you will look and feel better in a short time.
Your energy levels will increase and you will be taking huge leaps in the right direction to improve your overall health and quality of life.
The two areas in need of attention are Diet and Exercise.
Diet: In order to effectively lose belly fat permanently you need to be cautious about what food you are putting into your body.
Your focus should be on healthy, natural foods that are good for you and promote a healthy lifestyle.
Include in your daily eating plan plenty of fresh food.
Keep your attention and appetite on lean meats, fresh vegetables and fruit and by hydrating with plenty of water.
Add a twist of lemon or lime to your water to give it flavour and this also helps to detox the body and improve your skin.
Limit your intake of bread.
Even if you are eating wholemeal or wholegrain bread you still need to limit your consumption to two slices per day.
Eat 5 to 6 small meals per day instead of 3 larger meals.
Eating more frequent meals helps your metabolism stay charged as it is working more to digest the food eaten.
Do not eat late at night.
Have your last meal in the early evening.
Exercise: Do not be sedentary.
Your aim is to exercise at least 4 times per week even if it is a simple walk.
But you have to do something.
To lose belly fat quickly you must burn off more calories than what you are putting into your body.
This is the basic rule of reducing your size and improving your health.
Two main types of exercise are:
  1. Cardio: Exercises that increase your heart rate help to burn calories faster.
    Running, Zumba, dancing etc all come under this heading.
  2. Resistance training: including light weights and the resistance bands used in pilates is a great way to trim and strengthen your core.
When working to lose belly fat quickly you will also trim and firm the rest of your body.
