Craft the Costume

Find an image of the Power Rangers online to refer to as you make the costume. It's easier to work with a picture than to try to remember what each of the Power Rangers looked like.

Decide which Power Ranger's costume you want to make. If you are going with the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, your choices are pink, yellow, blue, red, white or black.

Purchase a sweat suit in that color, or some type of leggings and a long-sleeved t-shirt. To be the Pink Power Ranger, you will also need a matching short pink skirt to go over the leggings.

Cut out a diamond from white fabric and sew or glue it onto the chest of the shirt. Also, cut out a stripe for the shoulders and attach it to the shirt, too. Another option is to use fabric paint to draw the design on it.

Use gold fabric paint if you are making the White Power Ranger costume. His character's outfit is slightly different than the rest, so you will need to paint the design on the chest rather than use a white fabric diamond.

Paint gold stripes and cuffs on the arms to make the White Power Ranger costume.

Draw a diamond pattern around the top of the white boots in the color of your Power Ranger. Use fabric paint for this part of the costume, too.

Make the White Power Ranger's boots by painting a gold cuff around the top of a pair of white boots.

Complete the Costume

Paint your face instead of making a helmet and decorating it. Take your face paints and color your face to match your Power Ranger.

Work the helmet design into the design on your face, if you are especially ambitious. That will be more authentic when going without the helmet.

Wear the pants and shirt, boots and gloves. Add the white belt to your waist to complete your costume. You've just morphed into a Power Ranger!
