Middle Schools in Round Rock, Texas
- Ridgeview Middle School is home of the Panthers and is located on Sonoma Trail in Round Rock. Students can register to attend this school by presenting a birth certificate, proof that they live in the district, immunization records, a social security number and a previous report card from their old school. Extracurricular activities include fine arts, basketball, football, soccer and track and field. Some of the Ridgeview clubs that students can join include: the Go Green club, cheerleading, Lego Robotics club, book club and Arts club.
- James G. Walsh Middle School is the ninth middle school in the district and was named after Mr. James Garland Walsh. His family owned the land where the school is now located, on Walsh Ranch Boulevard. Students can join school clubs such as 4-H, the book club, Math Counts, the gardening club and theater arts. Some of the Walsh Wildcats sports that students can play include: basketball, football, track and field and volleyball. School begins at 8:15 am and ends at 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.
- Located on Sunrise Road in Round Rock, Hernandez Middle School is the home of the Bulldogs. This school was named after Round Rock native Pfc Robert P. Hernandez who served in, and was a casualty of, the Vietnam War. Bulldog athletics include basketball, volleyball, track and field, and football. This middle school has a Talented and Gifted program for K-12 students who are significantly advanced in their studie. New students can register to attend Hernandez Middle School at the main office from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
- Hopewell Middle School, home of the Hornets, is located on Gulf Way. The school currently has over 800 students and 75 staff members. Classes begin every day, Monday to Friday, at 8:15 am and students are dismissed at 3:30 pm. Students can join the art club or book club if they like, or they can participate in football, track or basketball. In order to register for this school, proof of residency, a social security number, birth certificate and current immunization record are required.
