It is said that to have a happy life all we need is: - someone to love, something to do, and something to look forward to.
In keeping with that simple mantra, if we narrow it down to health steps:- 1) Daily exercise.
Something every day that keeps the heart active, that strengthens the muscles, and makes your lungs work.
As we get older weight training exercises become more important, as our bones and muscles left t themselves weaken quickly - no matter how many supplements you take.
Find exercises that maintain bone and muscle integrity.
For a few minutes every day - don't be easy on your self -create deliberate exercise.
Its the cheapest health supplement there is.
2) Choose Whole foods - that is foods that look the same when you eat them as they did when they came out of the ground or off the plant.
That means you are eating petrochemicals and all those wonderful micro-nutrients that you pay so much for in supplements.
3) Get 15 minutes of sun every day! Easy for some, not so much for the rest of us living in winter climes.
But what that means is get at least 1,000IU of Vitamin D and 1,000mg of calcium (ideally a calcium magnesium mix as that allows better absorption of calcium, which is a pest to absorb).
4) Sleep more than 7 hours.
Sleep increases your levels of growth hormones.
And half of us have difficulty with sleeping - stress, depression, family commitments etc.
Its very hard to 'catch-up' with sleep.
Try to do some bedtime time management, allow your body time to relax, on both sides of your sleeping time.
5) Have someone to love, something to do and something to look forward to.
