  You don't have to be a wine expert to put together a great gift basket. A wine gift basket can include other items besides wine and is a perfect gift for a wine and food lover. It makes a good hostess gift or Christmas present if you're not sure what to get someone.
  
  

Wine

• For the wine, knowing what type of wine your recipient likes would be very helpful. If you're not sure what his favorite kind is, go to a wine store where a wine expert can help you pick a nice bottle. For variety, go with one white and one red, or a blush and a white.

• Pick foods that complement the wine or are a favorite of the recipient.
