How to Refill an Epson NX100 Ink Cartridge
- 1). Switch off the printer. If the printer is connected to a computer, switch off the computer as well.
- 2). Connect the resetter to the printer using the cable that came with the resetter.
- 3). Connect the printer to the computer using the printer’s USB cable.
- 4). Connect the resetter’s power plug, and switch on both the printer and the computer.
- 5). Press and hold the executing button on the resetter for 2 seconds and then release it. This is enough for the resetter to configure its settings according to the particular model of the printer.
- 6). Press and hold the executing button again and release in 2 seconds. This time, the resetter will send the printer a message notifying it to reset the ink level. In response, the printer will print out a verification page which means that the cartridge’s chip has successfully been reset.
- 1). Spread paper towels on the floor, and put on rubber gloves.
- 2). Drill a tiny hole on the cartridge using the thumb drill. The hole should be drilled right above the “PUSH” button found on the cartridge. Drill another hole just beside the first one, toward the “Epson” label on the cartridge. This second hole is to ensure proper ventilation.
- 3). Fill the syringe with 20 mm of ink and insert the syringe’s needle into the first hole you drilled on the cartridge.
- 4). Inject the ink into the cartridge by slowly pushing the syringe’s plunger. Pull the syringe out when the cartridge is full.
- 5). Install the cartridge back in the printer.
