How to Turn Windows Security Off
- 1). Click the "Start" button on the far left side of the taskbar. A menu opens.
- 2). Select the "Control Panel." A window appears.
- 3). Click the "Performance and Maintenance" selection in the window. The Performance and Maintenance screen appears.
- 4). Click "Administrative Tools." A Windows Explorer window opens.
- 5). Double-click the "Services" icon. The Services window opens.
- 6). Choose "Security Center" in the Services window. The Security Center Properties window appears.
- 7). Click "General" in the window.
- 8). Click the "Startup type" window. Select "Disabled." Click "Apply." Close all of the open windows when you're finished.
- 1). Click the "Start" button. Choose "Control Panel."
- 2). Click "System and Security" inside the Control Panel window.
- 3). Select "Action Center" in the System and Security window.
- 4). Choose the "Change Action Center settings" link on the left part of the Action Center window.
- 5). Uncheck every box in the window by clicking the boxes. Click "OK" to finalize the process.
