How to Build a Downline in a Home Based Business
Over the next few days I am going to write a series of articles on the struggles that network marketers have when it comes to creating success in their home based business.
Today I'm going to talk about how to build a downline in your business that is sustainable and keeps the attrition rate to a minimum. Everyone knows that we aren't all going to be successful, but the ones that are successful because they want to be. They have a true desire to succeed that far outweighs their fear of failure. In my world there is no such thing as failing, only quitting.
I have been in this industry for over 2 years and I never made a single penny until I changed my focus from myself, to helping other people. My business has exploded, my life is completely different now, and I get great feelings from the fact that I have been able to help so many people along the way.
I did all the things that my sponsors told me to do for two years. I was their ideal distributor. I went to home meetings, hotel meetings, I put fliers on peoples cars at the mall, practiced the 3-foot rule and many other forms of "marketing" and I signed up ONE person into my business in one and a half years. And that was my best friend.
After all that time and money spent with no success, I made a decision that I could either quit or find a better way to build my business. Since option number one wasn't in my vocabulary, I looked to the internet. WOW is all I can say. What a complete eye opener I found when I did that, I spent the next couple of months reading and learning everything I could about marketing on the internet, and I met some great mentors along the way.
Those mentors have helped me in ways that you can't even imagine. They have taught me everything they know, they have helped me grow as a person and to believe that anything is possible with a little effort.
The biggest thing that my direct mentor has taught me though is how to build a downline properly. Myself and a few other top income earners in the industry have created a solution to your problems.
