The Tell-Tale Thumping
I've actually got two stories, and one is happening this very second. Somehow, I feel liked they're linked -- only slightly, but still....
I'm in Christchurch, New Zealand, and at the moment in 2013 in my bedroom. A few weeks ago in Bottle Lake Forest, I was with my friend biking for about two hours. When we got back home, she stayed the night. The next day, we found out at the exact same time we were at Bottle Lake, a woman died.
She biked down the same track we were on, at the same time.
My parents asked if we saw her at any stage, but we hadn't seen anyone else that fit the description. Turns out, her body was dragged off the track, and I didn't say anything (because my friend will think I'm telling a lie), but I did see track marks leading off the track.
Could we have been there only minutes after her death? But that's not the scary part.
About a week later, I heard noises. You're probably thinking something like, "omg, she heard noises! What a big deal!' But I'm not kidding! They sounded just like bike tires! That clicking sound they make when you pedal backward, and it was coming from under the floor! These noises continued for about two more weeks, until I heard thumping from under the floor. I usually only hear it twice a night, but right now I've just heard it for the fourth time.
My hands are shaking so bad, and I do not get scared easily. I keep seeing dark figures out of the corner of my eye and out the window.
I'm hearing rattling. Like a pet's collar, but from under my bed. Yesterday I told my mum about the rattling and banging, so she opened the little door on the outside of the house that leads to under my room, but I don't think whatever's under there is coming out. I'm wondering if my friend is hearing the same things.
In writing this may not sound scary at all, but sitting here alone in my room, hearing bike noises and pet collars rattling along with the continuous thumping from underneath the floorboards is possibly the scariest thing I've heard. I'm going to stop typing now and try find any other info about these noises and how to get rid of them.
